Our housing portfolio provides a wide variety of below-market rental apartments for low and moderate income individuals and families. MEND’s housing is available to households needing a helping hand in securing a decent, safe, affordable place to call home including single adults, senior citizens, families and persons with special needs. We work in partnership with municipalities which are seeking to fulfill their state-mandated affordable housing obligations.
PLEASE NOTE: Each property location has their own move-in guidelines, requirements and fees therefore, you must contact the property that you are interested in for specific details.

MEND fully understands that while it is important to develop, acquire and rehabilitate new affordable housing, it is equally important to manage and maintain our existing housing portfolio in a professional manner that reflects our mission and our long-term perspective.
MEND’s affordable housing mission has three primary facets:
MEND’s start-up was long and arduous. Our pioneering efforts began with the revitalization of the Beech Street neighborhood in Moorestown. Construction of the 18-unit apartment development, today known as Beech Street Apartments, was completed in 1978. It is noteworthy that the Beech Street Apartments addressed the need for affordable housing in one of New Jersey’s more affluent suburban towns and predated the NJ Supreme Court’s nationally famous Mount Laurel I decision by almost 6 years.
