Who exactly are the “Friends of MEND” and what do they do?

Friends of MEND, Inc. is a New Jersey nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization and is governed by a local Board of Trustees.

The organization was established in 2003 for the sole purpose of obtaining charitable donations to help support MEND’s affordable housing mission. The Board members are local citizens and professionals from a wide variety of business sectors. In 2005 the Trustees established an Endowment Fund intended to build an investment fund whose principal will remain intact for the long-term support of MEND’s housing development, management and maintenance activities. This group of forward-thinkers recognized the need for future financial assistance and took action almost 20 years ago to ensure MEND’s stability. Friends of MEND’s commitment to MEND’s future has been unwavering and incredibly generous.

The organization also raises money for MEND in fun ways, with the annual Friends of MEND Golf Outing. Hosted by the group for the past 15 years, this year’s event was a fun-filled day at the Deerwood Country Club in Westampton, with events including a putting contest and million-dollar shootout.
